***ADAPTIVE PRIVATE LESSON REQUESTS ARE NOT IMMEDIATELY CONFIRMED. FILL OUT THE INTAKE FORM, AND WE WILL CONTACT YOU BEFORE YOUR REGISTRATION IS FINALIZED. PAYMENT SHOULD NOT BE MADE UNTIL YOUR REQUEST HAS BEEN APPROVED.*** Adaptive Private Swim Lessons are designed for children and adults who benefit from individualized instruction tailored to their unique needs. Whether your swimmer has autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, physical limitations, developmental disabilities, or other special needs, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where they can build confidence and develop lifelong water safety and swimming skills. To ensure we are the right fit for your family, all Adaptive Private Swim Lesson requests require an initial parent consultation before registration is finalized. During this conversation, we will discuss your swimmer's strengths, challenges, medical or behavioral considerations, goals, and any accommodations that may help create the best possible learning environment. This allows us to determine whether we can safely meet your swimmer's needs and pair them with the instructor best suited for their success. Once approved, you will receive instructions to complete registration and submit payment through the City of Auburn Parks and Recreation system. If we determine that we are unable to safely meet your swimmer's needs at this time, your booking request will simply be declined, and no payment will be required. Adaptive Private Swim Lessons will be held at the Samford Pool for the month of July. In the event of inclement weather, pool closure, or instructor absence, you will work directly with your instructor to schedule a makeup lesson.
Cancellation Policy
8. Cancellation Policy – For private lessons held at City of Auburn aquatic facilities, lessons will be cancelled if the following occur: inclement weather (defined as lightning detected within 10 miles of the facility or audible thunder), pool closure, or instructor absence. In these cases, your instructor will offer two (2) makeup date/time options. If the provided options are not possible for the client to attend, Tiger Shark Swim School LLC will make a good faith effort to pair the client with another qualified instructor for the purposes of the makeup. Makeup lessons will be scheduled no later than two (2) weeks from the cancelled lesson. If the client is unable to attend a makeup within this two-week period, the makeup will be voided and ineligible for refund. If the client fails to attend any lesson—scheduled or makeup—the lesson will be considered missed, and no makeup or refund will be provided. If any individual lesson is more than halfway complete and is canceled due to inclement weather, it will not be considered a canceled lesson for refund purposes nor eligible for a makeup. Should it be necessary for Tiger Shark Swim School LLC to cancel a course in its entirety, a place in the same or similar course at a later date may be offered; however, no guarantee can be made. 9. Refund Policy – To be eligible for a refund due to voluntary cancellation prior to the start of lessons, the request must be submitted in the same calendar month in which payment was made. In this case, the client will receive a 100% refund. If a voluntary cancellation is requested outside of the payment month but more than 30 days prior to the start of lessons, Tiger Shark Swim School LLC may issue a 90% refund at its discretion. The client is ineligible for any refund if the cancellation request is made fewer than 30 days before the start of lessons. If a client misses a lesson without prior instructor cancellation, it will not be considered a canceled lesson for refund purposes, unless otherwise stated by the instructor. Clients are not eligible for refunds if they choose to stop attending lessons, unless otherwise stated by the instructor. If a lesson is cancelled due to inclement weather, pool closure, or instructor absence and Tiger Shark Swim School LLC is unable to provide a makeup within two (2) weeks of the cancelled lesson, the client is eligible for a 90% refund.
